Javascript engineer

atlasjobscholars is looking for a Javascript Software Engineer for Omnichannel Building Blocks ING is rapidly transforming towards a top-notch IT company with a Top Engineering culture, incorporating FinTech start-up mentality and financial innovation.

Drive the design, develop and validate the Frontend Build System used by all ING applications.

Develop in an OpenSource-like environment with component-driven architecture, collaborating a lot with other teams, promoting transparency of your team's work, reusability and maintainability of the code.



Be patient, committed, and willing to fulfil a lot of different roles outside of traditional development, all while making sure the product is optimized for the largest possible audience.



Be at the heart of both javascript ecosystems from WebTechnologies to NodeJS and sometimes other technologies and tools to explore.

Be meticulous, detail oriented and must possess creative and adaptive thinking skills, always stay up-to-date with the latest technologies.



Have a supportive mindset: you will be part of the build support team so helping others is part of your day to day work.

What your “stack-pack” should contain?

At least 3 years of JavaScript development experience

Knowledge of NodeJS ecosystem



Experience with frontend build tools like Webpack, Gulp, Grunt

Experience with continuous delivery and deployment tools such as Jenkins,

Artifactory, ELK stack

Experience with Git and GitHub / GitLab

Good with TDD, BDD and testing tools such as Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium etc...

Good knowledge of HTML/CSS



Good knowledge of Web Components specifications and Polymer library or similar.

Familiar with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, RethinkDB, CouchDB

Aware of Accessibility, Security, Performance

Familiar with at least one other programming language such as Java, Python, Ruby,

Go, PHP



Experience with the Agile / Scrum methodologies

Fluent English speaking and writing skills

Excellent social, teamwork and communication skills
