Location: Atlanta, GA

The Disability Case Manager I or II is responsible for reviewing, investigating and documenting Short Term Disability (STD) claims to determine eligibility for benefits. Typically handles non-statutory, non-occupational claims using duration guidelines.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist Disability Case Managers (DCM’s) with claim action plans.
• Gather clinical and eligibility information
• Assist in the daily review of each DCM’s Action Items
• Work from Reports and collaborate with each DCM regarding questions related to items on the Report

• Request Medical Records as needed
• Assist the DCM in summarizing Medical Records
• Sends Letters or Forms as needed
• Other duties as assigned

High School Diploma 1 to 2 years of experience in claims or customer service preferably in the managed care or healthcare insurance industry; 

or any combination of education and experience which would provide equivalent background Excellent oral and written communication skills PC literate including Microsoft Office products Strong organizational skills Ability to work in a Team environment
